01

Sanding

First we begin with a coarse grit to remove any blemishes in the wood. We then move through grit levels until we achieve our desired smoothness.

03

Staining

Before staining the entire surface we test our stain on a small test area until we achieve our desired colour and then we repeat the process on the rest of the surface.

02

Cleaning

Before staining we MUST ensure that no contaminants are on the surface of the wood that would tarnish the stain or not allow it to penetrate the wood properly.

04

Buffing

With a fine finish sanding we  remove any small blemishes. Then we give the surface a good dusting to remove any contaminants.

05

Top Coat

With a varnish, lacquer, polyurethane, or shellac the wood is then evenly coated in order to protect it from stains, discoloration, and damage.
